Starfleet Academy's roommate selection system leaves a lot to be desired.

Remarks & observations
I’ve been writing in the Original Series sandbox since the days of dial-up. Mostly Kirk, Spock and McCoy being stubborn at each other across the quadrant, sometimes with feelings. I write long works and slow burns, plus the odd one-shot when a line of dialogue won’t leave me alone.
Starfleet Academy's roommate selection system leaves a lot to be desired.
The fact that his father's face stared back at him in the mirror had never been an issue for Chekov. That was about to change. WARNING: this story contains descriptions of abuse and foul language. Please R&R
Chapter 17 is up. Only three to go! The others have been replaced with small changes/finishing done if you want to review them. They may rib Chekov about his sense of humor, but when he becomes all business, his shipmates wonder how long they can endure him...and why he won't talk about it. Rating for language in Chpt 1. R&R please!
